The News To Know Now

STYLE:

In our age of over-sharing, another celebrity has started a blog about … well, herself: Courtney Love's What Courtney Wore Today.com. And while it's only one day old, there are already some pretty interesting shots of her (naturally) as well as a few bizarre musings. She certainly gets to wear tons of amazing clothes, and we think we'll return for some more of the fun insights on Love like, "i seem to recall she wore Mcqueen leggings from Browns in Montclair w/ the Demuelmeester boots (sic)." (The Huffington Post)

Blasting up through the style stratosphere (and across the pond), the news comes to us that the Bath Fashion Museum in England will be displaying a collection of 10 dresses worn by the late Princess Diana. Designs include those worn by the princess in the early '80s and mid-'90s, by fashion masters including Gianni Versace, British couturier Catherine Walker and historic costumer John Bright. We'd love to see these gorgeous gowns in person, but we're hoping that the Museum will put pictures of them on their website during the run of the exhibit, from July 17th to January 9th. (WWD)

BEAUTY:

There are so many things we love about Nars. Aside from the brilliant makeup, our favorite is Marcel Nars, company creator François's adorable bulldog. We've come to know the pup through pictures and press releases where he gives tips and tricks. Now you can ask him questions, too, via Twitter on July 22nd. Just follow @NARSissist and add #marcelnars to your tweets to get his advice on all your beauty queries. (BellaSugar)

Remember your favorite Bonne Bell Lip Smacker flavor? Ours was always Dr. Pepper. Now the company is partnering with Vitamin Water to create "Vitamin Schticks." The packaging even resembles that of the drink, which is pretty cool. (Limelife)

LIVING:

Back to school shopping for college students is always pricey with the laptops, textbooks and dorm essentials. But according to a new study by Allow Media + Marketing, 50% of college students are planning to purchase e-readers, as well. At an average of $250 each, that e-reader had better replace those calculus and American studies textbooks. (The Independent)

Get "Happy Chic" with HSN's new Jonathan Adler line to debut on October 12th. The bright and bold designer will unveil his latest collection of home decor and accessories during HSN's Home Design event. "As with all my designs, Happy Chic is a versatile collection meant to be mixed and matched," says Adler. We're giddy already! (PR Newswire)

RELATIONSHIPS:

Does rainy weather get you itching for some between-the-sheets action? If so, you're not alone. Trojan condoms recently conducted a study of sexual preferences, as they pertain to weather, and found that 83 percent of Americans surveyed think rain is the best weather condition for having sex. And while the company also discovered that people living in hot-climate cities like Miami have the most sex per year, 35 percent of those surveyed reported turning down a roll in the hay when the weather is too hot. (Limelife)

Also in sexual-preference news, another recent study found that nearly half of women like to keep one article of clothing on during sex to help boost their body confidence. Another request for over 60 percent of women: turning those lights off (compared with 37 percent of men). We say, do whatever it takes to help you get — and stay — in the mood. (Jezebel)
