Throw on the Sinatra, whip up some gingerbread, and take a deep inhale of pine. Christmas is around the corner, and it's time to really rev up your holiday engine.

While good ol' St. Nick is busy stuffing his sleigh, prepare for the tidings with this week's tinsel-worthy tipple. A Mexican take on eggnog, “Horchata Blanco” will have you Prancing around Blitzened, thanking Cupid for the love in your life this holiday season.

A gift to Glo readers from chef Richard Sandoval, “Horchata Blanco” combines tradition with innovation, satisfying both Grannie and Grafton, your yuppie nephew who subscribes to every food and wine magazine on the market. Tan, milky and the perfect complement to a Christmas ham, this cocktail could be the reason Rudolph's nose is always so red.

½ oz Milagro Silver Tequila

2 ½ oz horchata*

1 cinnamon stick

*Though traditionally homemade, horchata can be purchased in liquid or powder form at most major supermarkets.

Directions: Pour all ingredients into shaker with ice. Shake well, strain and pour into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a cinnamon stick.
