Hump Day Happy Hour
Sip On A Sweet New Trend This Labor DayBy Julie Fishman
Stop and smell the roses this Labor Day weekend with "Rémy V La Belle Rose" from Rémy Martin. The elegant and refreshing sipper is sure to cure any end-of-summer blues.
Featuring fragrant rose water, an Asian culinary staple that's recently become popular among American bartenders, "Rémy's V La Belle Rose" is light yet subtlety complex—perfect for the transition between summer and fall.
As any mixologist would warn, less is more with rose water—too much and your drink will taste like Grandma Ida's perfume. So take it easy on the ingredients, using everything in moderation, and enjoy this bubbly concoction at your Labor Day soiree.
"Rémy V La Belle Rose"
1.5 oz. Rémy Martin V
0.75 oz. fresh lemon juice
1 oz. simple syrup
1 drop Rose Water
4 muddled seedless red grapes
Piper Sonoma sparkling wine
Muddle grapes with a splash of simple syrup. Add Rémy Martin V, lemon juice, rose water, remaining simple syrup and ice, and then shake vigorously. Strain into a Collins glass over fresh ice. Top with Piper Sonoma sparkling wine. Garnish with muddled grape skins.
