The Scramble For A Burger-Scented Candle

In honor of this month's annual celebration of National Hamburger Month, iconic fast-food joint White Castle created a burger-scented candle — for sale in the restaurant and online. Much to the company's surprise, the item sold out in just two days. We're kind of in love with the fact that this candle even exists and even more in awe of its instant popularity. Seriously, who knew so many people would want their homes to smell like a White Castle joint and/or "slider" on a bed of onions? (Though, not gonna lie, the idea makes us hungry just thinking about it …) Better yet, it's packaged in a ceramic holder that mimics the slider's signature cardboard sleeve.

If you'd like to get your hands (and snout) on one of the candles, there are still some available at White Castle restaurants — but run, don't walk, as they're selling fast. The company sent out a press release, assuring excited wannabe-buyers that the candle will be available for sale again around the holiday season later this year. You can sign up for a news alert on the White Castle website (just click here) to keep up-to-date on the item's reissue. Even if you're not an avid White Castle (or meaty aroma) fan, this candle is an all-around good idea: The net proceeds of each one sold benefit the charity Autism Speaks.
