For those on the hunt for love, there's a new matchmaker in town to help you in your pursuit. New York City–based Lori Zaslow has made a career out of playing cupid, and now she's the star of Bravo's new reality series Love Broker (which premieres March 5). After working as an executive recruiter for over a decade, Zaslow decided to use her talent for connecting people with their dream jobs to connect singles with their dream partners. The result? Her company, Project Soulmate.

While Zaslow has a knack for pairing people up, she also knows what it takes to make a relationship last—she's been married for 12 years. We chatted with her about how to find "the one," why falling in love is never easy, and what we can do be happier in our relationships.

How do you know when you've found "the one"?

There's more than one person for everybody. But you know someone is right for you when that person can put you first effortlessly. It doesn't mean that he's calling and texting you every day. It's when you know that you're his No. 1 priority and that he's your No. 1 priority.

Remember that there's a huge difference between infatuation and love. Someone shows you that they love you by being there for you—not on a birthday or on Valentine's Day, but every single day. There's compromise, patience and mutual respect for one another. The person who's right for you values the things that you value. Even if he doesn't enjoy the same things as you do, he appreciates your differences.
