Full Stack Software Engineer

Position Overview:
Glo’s Full Stack Engineer is responsible for implementing and maintaining Glo web applications so that users can experience new and existing product features in an efficient and reliable manner. They are passionate and creative problem solvers dedicated to building smooth user experiences on the front end, and the logic and testing to validate features on the back end.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Product Creation & Maintenance: Write code for existing and new web application features according to business needs and priorities; Write tests, review code, deploy projects, and help troubleshoot production issues
- Innovate Systems: Follow established processes and design patterns and actively contribute to improve them; Stay up-to-date on the latest relevant technology tools and trends; Work alongside the web team, services team and product owners to deliver value and improve processes
- Problem Solve: Proactively work around road-blocks and communicate status and issues
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience designing, coding, testing and debugging web applications in production
- 4+ years of experience in a full stack environment, including front end technologies (we use express/Node.js/npm, JS SPA frameworks such as Ember.js and React, CSS precompilers)
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science (or other relevant degree, or equivalent experience)
- Experience with consuming RESTful APIs, and comfortable writing API endpoints
- Experience with relational database querying
- Self-starter, exceptional organizational skills, clear communicator, motivated to start healthy discussion and gain consensus on architecture/design decisions
Preferred Qualifications
- Comfortable using Docker and Kubernetes
- Comfortable with the AWS toolset
- Experience with payment processor APIs (ex. Stripe, Apple In-App Payments)
- Able to clearly communicate technology and business rules to non-tech colleagues

Employment Information::
- Location: Remote. This position is fully remote for anyone living in California, Arkansas, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, or Washington.
- Some travel may be required for in-person collaboration
- Compensation: $120,000 - $150,000/year + equity
