Human Resources Business Partner (Senior HR Manager)

Position Summary:

Committed to attracting and retaining top talent, the hands-on Human Resources Business Partner will act as the business partner for Glo’s people managers through the full employee life cycle: recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance management, development, and offboarding. With an excellent working knowledge of current best practices in the HR field, they will also be a resource to employees with questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations. 

The Human Resources Business Partner will process, verify, and maintain documentation relating to all HR activities such as hiring and onboarding, training, and performance evaluations. They will support the administration of employee compensation and benefits programs. The Human Resources Business Partner will also help to schedule training and development programs, and they will support with the development and execution of company-wide events and culture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Strategy & Planning

  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with Glo’s business goals.
  • Partner with leadership to shape and execute the company’s people strategy, ensuring talent needs are met for current and future growth.
  • Analyze workforce needs and develop strategies for future staffing.
  • Manage onshore and offshore teams to align workforce planning with company growth and strategic goals.

Talent & Retention:

  • Develop recruitment strategies and oversee onboarding.
  • Implement initiatives to enhance employee retention and satisfaction.

Benefits, Payroll & Compliance:

  • In coordination with the external accounting team, support payroll processing and ensure accurate, timely compensation.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
  • Regularly update policies as needed to reflect evolving business needs and legal requirements.

Employee Development:

  • Lead training programs and manage performance evaluations.
  • Support career growth and professional development opportunities.

Culture Building:

  • Champion Glo’s mission and values, ensuring they are reflected in all HR processes.
  • Oversee communications related to company-wide policies, benefits, and organizational updates.
  • Build an agile and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Foster connections in a remote workforce through engagement initiatives and organize team-building activities.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Lead the execution of performance review cycles and improvement plans, as necessary, focusing on leadership, accountability, and strategic alignment.
  • Guide on complex employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, policy interpretation, and disciplinary actions.
  • Oversee quarterly conversations and feedback mechanisms to promote continuous alignment and development.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a human resources business partner or manager role.
  • Familiarity with all parts of the employee lifecycle.
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Experience in a startup environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of best HR practices and industry standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to confidentiality.

Work Requirements:
  • This position is fully remote for anyone living in California, Arkansas, Minnesota, Florida, Tennessee, or Texas.
  • Some travel may be required for in-person collaboration
  • Compensation:  $120,000 - $140,000/year + equity
