Week 1
Yoga
The breath is the source of life and allows all things to flourish. Develop a newfound awareness of your breath by learning to connect it with your movements. You'll learn a type of breathing called ujjayi, as well as the meaning of the terms vinyasa and prana. This first class will also introduce sun salutations, or surya namaskars, a foundational sequence of poses that creates a flowing movement. Props Suggested: Two blocks.
Yoga
Setting an intention for your practice will support your desired outcome. Allow your intention to fuel your movements as you revisit poses from the previous class. You'll learn a new version of sun salutations, called surya namaskar B, that includes some new postures like chair and warrior I. Practice will conclude with some gentle stretching and a soothing rest in savasana. Props Suggested: Two blocks.
Yoga
There is a beginning, middle and end to everything; it's the cycle of life. Tune into this rhythm through breath and movement as you continue to explore each pose. Begin to build your cadence as you flow through sun salutations, allowing your body to guide you. You'll learn a few new poses, like upward dog and warrior II, then come down to the floor for a twist and savasana. Props Suggested: Two blocks.
Week 2
Yoga
Take your time and honor your strength as you move through sun salutations and practice some new variations of flow. You'll learn chaturanga, moving from high to low plank, with options to help you build your stamina. This class will also explore warrior I, warrior II and reverse warrior, and introduce bridge pose, your first backbend. Props Suggested: Two blocks.
Yoga
Utilize your breath and practice self-compassion as you begin to play with balancing poses. This class will move more quickly through sun salutations and warrior poses, but remember that you can choose to set your own pace. Find your equilibrium as you learn poses like tree and boat, using blocks to support you whenever needed. Practice will include a brief cool down in reclined bound angle before ending with savasana. Props Suggested: Two blocks.
Yoga
Honor all that you've learned so far, while adding just a bit more to your practice. This class will bring you full circle, moving you from the front to the back of your mat, and revisiting the postures you've learned so far. You'll also explore triangle pose and continue to build confidence as you flow. Show gratitude to yourself for developing this practice, as you witness its effects both on and off the mat. Props Suggested: Two blocks.

whenever you need.
