Mother, mentor, poet, artist, volunteer, bestselling author, and host of the Practice You Podcast, Elena Brower graduated from Cornell University in 1992 and designed textiles and apparel for almost a decade before shifting her focus to yoga, meditation, writing, and art. Teaching asana since 1999, studying and practicing Zen meditation since 2020, she received the Buddhist Precepts from Roshi Joan Halifax at Upaya Zen Center in 2023. Now a candidate for Buddhist Chaplaincy, Elena offers her time in hospice and penitentiary settings as well as facilitating grief counseling for children.

Her books, Art of Attention, Practice You, Being You, and Softening Time walk us through stages of practice, life, and listening. Elena's Perceptive Parenting audio course is a key resource for parents; her signature course, Simplify, serves hundreds in reimagining priorities in order to experience more fulfillment and meaning every day. Her spoken word poetry can be heard on Above & Beyond's Flow State albums, for which she's received an RIAA-certified Gold Record for her writing on "Don't Leave." Elena works to elevate bright futures for girls, women, and children through her support for Girls on Fire Leaders, On The Inside, and Free Food Kitchen.

Yoga

Level 2 45 mins

With options to level up or down, this Vinyasa practice welcomes all levels to find opening and balance. Enjoy a full-body, breath-focused sequence that flows through Chair Pose to Sun Salutations, Eagle Pose, several backbends, abdominal work, and an inversion (Headstand or Legs Up The Wall). A wall and block are optional for support in various poses. This class previously aired on January 20, 2025.

Yoga

Level 2 20 mins

This Hatha practice emphasizes a smooth transition between your inhale and exhale to quiet your mind and open your body. Start in Child’s Pose and Bird Dog, then move steadily through Trikonasana (Triangle), Parsvakonasana (Side Angle), Anjaneyasana (Crescent), Chair Pose, Runner’s Stretch, and side stretches, then finish with a short meditation with mudra. Yoga

Level 2-3 45 mins

Explore what it feels like to give your full attention to practice. This challenging Vinyasa flow encourages you through lots of Sun Salutations, standing postures, several versions of Hanumanasana (Splits), and Side Crow in order to experience both power and rest. Standing postures include Dog Splits, High Lunges, and Parivrtta Trikonasana (Revolved Triangle). Please note: Wall space is used for extra support. This class previously aired on January 13, 2025.
